I am going again Fri to view another persons stead and talk about preparing the garden for winter. It should be interesting. I went to the Mother Earth News far last weekend. Saw several very interesting programs. One thing that 2 of the presenters said was not to put up your garden plants. They said to just cut them off or weed wack them but leave the roots in the ground. The idea is that the roots will rot and become super highways for beneficial organisms and bacteria etc. As they rot they also add organic matter down deep in the soil. Sounded like a good idea to me.
Never doubt that a small group of dedicated people can change the world, indeed it is the only thing that ever has.
