Yep, that one is from you. I had two of those stones you sent sprout, the one in the picture sprouted shortly after I planted it, and another one just popped up in the last week, a couple years later....

None of that kernza came up, but I have access to more.

Wait, what? Didn't I only send you those a year or so ago, maybe two at most? That tree can't be that young from seed, can it?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. If my memory serves me correctly, which it does not always do, that whole orchard is just starting its third summer in the ground. By comparison, I also planted some purple plums that are roughly the same size, but slightly more shaded. The almonds are probably 12-16 feet tall. Even the smaller plum that just sprouted a week or so ago is already almost 2 feet tall already. I guess those pigs fertilized that area well. I also throw my ashes out there, which is supposed to do well for fruit trees, and I did use some of those tree tubes on stock that I was particularly concerned about.

I'm just stoked the Mirabelle survive the winter here.

Meet the Eunuchs.

Picked up this little lot of Katahdins over the weekend. Going to graze them over the summer and clear out some more brushy areas. Taking orders for them to go to the butcher around the end of August / early September. We've kept them confined for three days just to make sure they were healthy and turned them out on grass this morning. Happy little lambs.

8 of the wiley rascals. It's been a while since we've had sheep and despite goats being little devils I'm being reminded of how intelligent goats are. Gawd, sheep are dumb animals!
