That is cool Devil, especially if you don't own the ground and are not sure just how long you might be staying. Do you have a patio or some kind of out door area that you can move then into once the days and nights warm up a bit?

The Strawberries should be fine, even with out the row cover, they are hardy here in Pa. The Rose Bush should be fine depending on the variety. Some roses are hardier than others. The Kale I don't know. Kale is very cold hardy, and you have it protected under a cover, but it has gotten extremely cold this year. I personally have never tried to keep it through the winter. Let us all know how it works for you. If you can keep it growing through the winter here in Pa, people should be able to do it in the Mid-West, they have similar winter temps to ours.
