Anybody ever make these? I'm dying to try it or a spin on the technique.

I have red jalps in the greenhouse right now, and I've been throwing them on the smoker every time I smoke. I don't run them that long, so they don't dehydrate all the way, but they do taste chipotle-y for sure. You can smoke them for as long as you can handle then put them in the dehydrator to finish them off for storage.

Thanks, man. I've been reading such wild stuff about burying the peppers in the ground and smoking for 4 days. I knew there had to be a short cut. I am surprised that people don't make chipotles themselves. They are so tasty. With garlic, they are incredible.

I will try to smoke some tomorrow if I have time, then post pics.
