I think I posted this on here someplace, but it might be worth repeating. There was an article in Mother Earth News years ago " So You Have Moved to the Country and You want to Keep Livestock, " it basically said that City Folks don't have a clue about what it actually takes to care for animals. They recommended against starting with Horse, cows, goats or sheep. They even spoke against trying chickens or rabbits to start. They felt that you should try keeping Bees as a 1st step.
You only have to mess with them a few times a year. See how that goes before you try Livestock
Turns out that any Livestock takes a lot of work.
Never doubt that a small group of dedicated people can change the world, indeed it is the only thing that ever has.
