Very dangerous but has been done. I remember a mechanic back in the 70s in central Illinois had a waste oil drip running into his barrel stove that worked well. I ran a copper tube into my barrel stove 10 years ago, dripped into an old aluminum pot in the firebox, at one point it accumulated, then flashed with huge amounts of black smoke out the chimney for 5 scary minutes, melted the pot. 5 years ago I tried a veggie oil drip on an outside rocket, dripped through 1/4 inch copper line onto wood in firebox, still more black smoke. I soaked/dipped some wood in oil and it worked a little better, safer, i don't think it smoked. The amount of btus in oils is very very high. Comparing it to wood is like the difference between coca leaves and cocaine. Here are my recommendations:
never walk away from a drip system
small amounts are safer
don't let the oil soak into the core
use steel pipe into firebox
monitor, record and share results
