Terracotta Tiles for Pizza Oven Wall Lining?

I had an thought and was wondering if Terracotta tiles could be used in an oven, other than the floor?

What I thought was after building a wood form, using Terracotta tiles to line it, back up by some perlite cement for insulation, then outer covering of mortar?

Do you think it would last or has anyone attempted such a thing?

Any input is welcome!

Thanks.

Dean

Hey, Dean. Welcome. I don't have any good answers for you but it's really frustrating to see new people come to join the forums and not get responded to.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. You would want a good amount of insulation. What do you mean by perlite cement? Are you thinking of placing this above a rocket or just a fire in a black oven?

Like most things, I would say try it and see what happens. Then post some photos and we'll all know!
