So after her water broke we hurriedly finished cooking supper. Since we had family in for the holiday weekend, we were frying shrimp as the entree for a huge meal. Right about the time the grease got hot I went to make a pig check and that was when I discovered her to be in active labor.

Out huge meal turned out to be a slightly less huge meal. Because so much of the space in my stomach was being occupied butterflies anyhow, that was OK with me.

I texted my momma that things were starting to happen, she told Youngblood and within mere minutes, they joined us. What's more, they were keepin my brother's three kids and the pres her stopped by with his three kids. Shortly after they arrived, the preacher, his wife and three kids stopped by.

My carport looked like a movie theater and Linda was playing on the big screen.

The kids mostly behaved after I ran about half of them off and we settled in for the long haul.

After having watched a few videos and reading much on sows farrowing, I thought I had a fairly good mental image of what to expect.

Linda, to my eye, threw it right down the middle.

She delivered thusly:
#1 at 9:14
#2 at 10:05
#3 at 10:08
#4 at 10:14
# 5 & #6 came together at 10:20.
#7 at 10:24
#8 at 10:29.
#9 at 10:42.
#10 at 10:50
#11 at 10:54

All of the kids got an education tonight.

Here the are:

Congratulations George. You must be pleased with how she did, and how many she had. That is a nice sized litter.
